Struggling with Deer Overpopulation? We Understand.

Deer management isn’t just about removing animals—it’s about restoring balance where overpopulation has caused real harm. Unchecked herds impact everything from your landscaping to your health and safety.
Here’s what happens when deer populations go unmanaged:

  • Crop & Landscape Destruction — A single deer can consume up to 3,000 pounds of plants annually, devastating gardens, farms, and ornamental landscapes.
  • Tick-Borne Illnesses — Deer are key hosts in the life cycle of ticks that spread Lyme disease and other harmful illnesses.
  • Vehicle Collisions — Deer-related crashes are common, costly, and dangerous—especially during peak movement seasons.
  • Habitat Damage — Overbrowsing by large herds stunts native tree regeneration and destroys fragile ecosystems.
  • Reduced Biodiversity — When deer dominate, native plants, pollinators, and other wildlife struggle to survive.

Comprehensive Deer Population Management

We offer comprehensive, year-round population control that addresses these challenges head-on—using safe, quiet, and ethical archery methods.

About Island Wide Whitetail, LLC

In 2009, Charlie Mulham and Michael Scavone began addressing Long Island’s growing deer overpopulation problem by advocating for archery hunting as a safe, effective, and ethical solution. Together, they founded Full Draw LLC and built a trusted, tight-knit team of skilled bowhunters who managed over 30 properties and harvested up to 100 deer per year—using archery only, never firearms.
As the team evolved, the Full Draw name and legacy were passed on to fellow hunter Michael Karwoski, who continues to grow its influence and online presence within the hunting community.
In 2025, Michael Scavone launched Island Wide Whitetail Management—a new chapter focused on growing their no-cost deer population control service for private and public landowners across Long Island. Today, Island Wide manages over 300 acres and serves a wide range of properties, from residential and agricultural land to preserves, parks, and commercial spaces.
With a team of experienced archery hunters, Island Wide operates year-round under special permits in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The company remains grounded in its founding values: safety, ethics, discretion, and conservation. As demand grows, so does the impact—with new partnerships forming, more properties onboarded, and a line of trusted, branded gear on the horizon.
This is Island Wide—protecting land, restoring balance, and giving back to the community one property at a time.

At Island Wide Whitetail Management, ethical deer management isn’t just about conservation—it’s also about supporting our community. Every year, our team harvests far more venison than we can personally consume.
Thanks to our long-standing partnership, the remaining meat is professionally butchered and provided to Island Harvest Food Bank, a leading hunger‑relief organization on Long Island. Island Harvest’s mission is to end hunger and reduce food waste through efficient distribution, nutrition education, and community programs

Why We Donate

  • Feeding Our Neighbors – Island Harvest and its network of 300+ community partners serve thousands of individuals—including families, veterans, seniors, and children—providing nutritious food every week
  • Reducing Waste – By redirecting high-quality venison that would otherwise go unused, we help minimize food waste and bolster local food security.
